I have been reading "The scientist in the crib: What early learning tells us about the mind" since winter and I have just started listening to Radio Lab. I am amazed. Humans are so unique and so complex and every time there seems to be an answer, it leads to 13 more questions. Just the simple fact that we can ask questions and seek out answers is amazing.
I don't have the energy to be eloquent or polished about this, but WOW! Science may be the most creative expression of human nature. Not to insult all the more traditional artists, I respect you greatly for what you can do, but science rocks!

A case of the Mondays
I don't fully awaken until I arrive at school. Showering, dressing, packing a lunch, and (frighteningly) driving to school are all done automatically. As I passed the administration building I thought "Wow its is very dark, everyone must be having a hard time getting up this morning". As I pulled in my parking spot I was thankful to find salt had been spread and was again surprised at how few cars were there. (I am one of the early ones to school, but I am very rarely the first.) I walked to the door I normally go in and upon finding it locked thought "Wow, even the custodians are running late this morning". I than walked over to the main door and it too was locked. Then and only then did I even consider that school was closed. Silly me!
